~ Close to 7,000 attended the NTUC NDP Bay Celebrations on 9 August 2025 ~
The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) commemorated SG60 at the NTUC NDP Bay Celebrations at the Promontory @ Marina Bay on 9 August 2025. Themed “Majulah SG Youth”, the Celebrations spanned across three sessions and drew a total of about 20,000 attendees on 26 July, 2 and 9 August 2025.
Reflecting the theme, over 300 youths volunteered to be a part of this year’s celebrations. Held in collaboration with the National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 Executive Committee as part of the expanded NDP 2025 celebrations, the NTUC NDP Bay Celebrations reaffirmed NTUC’s commitment to supporting youth as they pursue their dreams and aspirations and providing them with necessary resources to succeed.
Key highlights from the Celebrations include:
a) Performances by established and budding homegrown youth talents such as ShiGGa Shay, Regina Song, SMU SoundFoundry, Shabir Sulthan, Shazza, Estelle Fly, DJ Caden, NTU MJ, and O School
b) NTUC’s symbolic moment, “Building Singapore’s Hopes and Moving Dreams Forward,” featuring 25 youth dancers in a flash mob performing alongside DJ Red’s powerful remix of National Day songs. The performance rallied the audience in a unifying display of music, light, and movement—symbolising the nation coming together to shape Singapore’s future.
c) Showcase of NTUC’s programmes that supports youths in their transition from school to work at the NTUC Booth
d) Interactive SG60 installations conceptualised and co-created by youths, such as:
i. The “Dream Exchange” phone booth where they could listen to about 6,000 recordings of anonymous well-wishes from fellow Singaporeans;
ii. The “Majulah SG Youth” art installation showcasing more than 8,000 doodles from students across 14 IHLs capturing personal interpretations of Singapore today; and
iii. “The Future We Create” AI-powered display where young Singaporeans' aspirations and visions for Singapore's future were brought to life.
